Service and store
Where is the Kéramos Decorações store?
At Rua Barata Ribeiro, 625, in Copacabana, Rio de Janeiro (CEP 22051-000). We are open Monday to Friday, 9 am to 6 pm, and Saturdays, 9 am to 1 pm.
How do I request a quote?

Do you offer technical visits and measuring?
Yes. You can send us your measurements or book a technical visit at your home so we can measure and advise.
Is everything made in-house?
Yes. Curtains, cushions, covers and upholstery are made by our own specialised team, to measure for each client.
What products and services does Kéramos offer?
Curtains, blinds and special shades, Brazilian and imported wallpaper, rugs, reupholstery of sofas and classic chairs, sofa covers, headboards, bedspreads, cushions and home décor fabrics.
How long has Kéramos been in business?
Since 1954, in Copacabana. It is a family business under the same management, combining tradition and innovation in Rio de Janeiro interiors.
Blinds and special shades
What is the difference between 1%, 3% and 5% solar screen?
The percentage is the openness of the weave. The lower it is, the more light, heat and glare it blocks and the more privacy you get; the higher it is, the more daylight and outside view.
Can blinds be motorised?
Yes. We offer manual, wired or wireless motorised operation and remote control, depending on the model.
Is day & night blackout?
There is a blackout fabric version, but because of the alternating stripes it is considered semi-blackout: a little light passes between them.
Do you install?
Yes, installation is carried out by our own specialised team.
Made-to-measure curtains
Do you make made-to-measure curtains?
Yes. All our curtains are sewn in our own workshop to the exact size of your window or opening.
Do I need to bring measurements?
You can send them via WhatsApp or book a technical visit: our team measures the room and helps you choose the fabric and heading.
What is the difference between voile and linen gauze?
Voile is smooth and sheer; linen gauze has texture and is semi-sheer. Both are light and can be combined with blackout or lining.
Does blackout fully darken the room?
Blackout fabric blocks the light. For maximum darkness we recommend proper installation with side overlaps and, if needed, a blind behind it.
Upholstery, restoration and classic chairs
Is it worth reupholstering a sofa instead of buying a new one?
In most cases, yes, especially when the frame is sound. Reupholstery lets you change foam, fabric and even the design, at a lower cost, while keeping a quality piece.
Do you restore antique chairs?
Yes. We upholster and restore classic chairs and armchairs, preserving their design and historic value.
Can I choose the fabric?
Yes. We have fabric catalogues from the best brands in store and help you choose the right one for use and style.
Headboards, bedspreads and bed linen
Is the headboard made to the size of my bed?
Yes, every headboard is made to measure.
Can I coordinate bedspread, cushions and curtains?
Yes, and we recommend it! We create harmonious sets using the same or coordinating fabrics.
Local and imported wallpaper
Do you install the wallpaper?
Yes. We measure, calculate the rolls and install.
Can I see the catalogues first?
Yes, we have catalogues from the best brands at our Copacabana store and can also send suggestions via WhatsApp.
Can wallpaper be changed later?
Yes, that is one of its great advantages: you can refresh the room easily whenever you like.
Made-to-measure sofa and chair covers
Do you make covers for corner or odd-sized sofas?
Yes. Every cover is made to measure, including sofas with non-standard dimensions.
How are the measurements taken?
We offer on-site measuring to guarantee a perfect fit.
Do you make chair covers too?
Yes, covers and seat pads for dining and office chairs.
Cushions and home décor fabrics
Do you have ready-made cushions?
Yes, we have a selection of cushions and cushion covers to take home straight away from our Copacabana store.
Do you sell fabric by the metre?
Yes, we carry home décor fabrics from the best brands. Ask about availability via WhatsApp.
Made-to-measure and imported rugs
Do you make rugs to measure?
Yes. Several collections can be produced in custom sizes.
How do I choose the rug size?
The rug should be proportional to the room. In a living room, ideally it fits at least the front legs of the sofa and armchairs. Our designers help you define the size.
